Student filmmakers vie for Palm d'Ole Wednesday

Eleven films written, directed, acted and produced by St. Olaf College students will compete Feb. 20 in the St. Olaf Interim Filmmaking Contest. Winners will walk away with the coveted Palm d'Ole award.

The films will be shown Wednesday evening beginning at 7 p.m. in Buntrock Commons' Viking Theater. Assistant Professor of English Jan Hill, Assistant Professor of Art Dave Ryan, Associate Professor of Theatre and Director of Media Studies Bill Sonnega, and Assistant Professor of English Mary Trull will judge the films.
