Oles raise the bar on Give to the Max Day

Give to the Max Day has not only become a tradition at St. Olaf College, but it also has become a success. On November 16, 1,403 alumni, parents, students, employees, and friends of the college came together for a day of extraordinary philanthropy.

Last year's Give to the Max Day saw St. Olaf raise a record amount of money in a single day of annual giving. This year St. Olaf easily trumped that record by raising $35,000 more for a total of $230,713. The money raised will have a profound effect on the college's ability to provide the unparalleled St. Olaf experience for today's students.

St. Olaf also received a $15,000 bonus from sponsor giveMN.org for winning the Higher Education Category. St. Olaf raised the fourth highest amount in the state behind Interfaith and Outreach and Community Partners, Cretin-Derham Hall, and Second Harvest Heartland.

"It feels good to be a part of a community like St. Olaf that understands how important it is to be engaged, not only locally but beyond the borders of their day-to-day lives," says Tracy Fossum, director of The St. Olaf Fund. "We sincerely thank the alumni, parents, and friends who banded together for these great results."
