Dale takes 'War and Terror' to Chicago

Associate Professor of Political Science Patrick Dale delivered a presentation on his course The Ethics of Citizenship in an Age of War and Terror at a recent University of Chicago seminar.

His talk was one of several offered at the Preparing Future Faculty Seminar, which aims to help graduate students prepare to teach at liberal arts colleges. The seminar, one in a series, focused on negotiating discord and teaching contentious topics. Dale joined faculty from academic institutions including the University of Cambridge, Kenyon College, Denison University, Carthage College, and the University of St. Thomas in presenting at the event.

Dale spoke about classroom consideration of means by which liberal democracies might best maintain their security without doing more harm to themselves than would be done by the terrorists.
