Governor Dayton to visit campus

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton will visit campus Monday, October 22, to meet with students and speak at a rally hosted by St. Olaf College Democrats.

Dayton is scheduled to arrive at Buntrock Commons at 10 a.m. and begin speaking in Viking Theater at 10:15 a.m. The event will also include remarks by Minnesota House of Representatives candidate David Bly '74.

Minnesota's 40th governor, Dayton assumed office in January 2011. He previously served as Minnesota's United States Senator from 2001-07, and the Minnesota State Auditor from 1991-95. He also currently serves on the executive committee of the National Governor's Association.
