Longtime CIA officer to speak about hunt for bin Laden

Michael Hurley, a career officer with the Central Intelligence Agency who led agency personnel and U.S. Special Forces in Afghanistan immediately after the 9/11 attacks, will visit St. Olaf College February 7 to speak about the hunt for Osama bin Laden and careers in the intelligence industry.

Hurley has served as a special advisor on counterterrorism to the U.S. State Department and was a leader on the 9/11 Commission. He has also worked as a counterterroism advisor to several senators and defense corporations.

He is now the president of Team 3i LLC, an international strategy company. He also serves as a special advisor to RoboteX, a Palo-Alto based innovative technology company started by St. Olaf alumnus Adam Gettings '04.
