Scenofest

Description

    Scenofest 2011 included three main parts- “Workshops”, “Six Acts”, and “Design as Performance”.Geared toward students and creators of performance work, Scenofest offered a variety of experiential, workshop and performance events in a variety of Visual Art, Performance and Media forms. The events were presented in locations all across the city of Prague.
     Workshops included sessions covering scenography, costume design, lighting design, sound design, puppetry, digital media, site-workshopsspecific performance, architecture and dramaturgy. 70 artists and professional leaders from USA, Ivory Coast, Germany, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Macedonia, Slovenia, UK, Denmark, Taiwan, Czech Republic, Greece, Israel, Lithuania, Finland, Canada, Poland, Hong Kong SAR, France, Spain, Japan, Italy, Indonesia, Mexico, and Brazil with more than 1000 participants - both students and professionals from across the globe.
    Six Acts offered the series of the site-specific performances and installations in the centre of Prague with the intensive long-term collaboration of the international student teams and the leading theatre professionals Pavel Štourač (CZ), Roma Patel (UK), Louise Ann Wilson (UK), Rolf Abderhalden (COL), Tomáš Žižka (CZ), and Fiona Watt (UK).
    Design as Performance included 40 student performances on the Jungmann Square in the centre of streetstoryPrague within the Street Stories project, and 9 student evening performances in the DISK Theatre within DISK Stories project. It involved schools and group of students from Sweden, UK, Russia, Brazil, Italy, USA, Poland, Spain, Georgia, Australia, Belgium, Macau SAR, Korea, Norway, Taiwan, Greece, Germany, and The Netherlands.AdInfinitum
