Heather Banks joined the Piper Center for Vocation and Career in September 2026 as the Associate Director of Career Development and Coaching for Pre-Health and Nursing. She brings over two decades of experience from Gustavus Adolphus College, where she served in career development and most recently served as the Associate Director of the Office of Health Professions. For 16 years, Heather has specialized in advising pre-health students, guiding them through clinical experience, and the graduate application process.
In her role at St. Olaf, Heather works closely with the Health Professions Committee, chaired by Dr. Kevin Crisp (Biology). Together, they provide comprehensive support, balancing academic preparation (Dr. Crisp) with experiential learning (Heather). She also manages pre-health internships and shadowing opportunities, partnering with alumni, parents, and community members to expand hands-on learning and research experiences for St. Olaf students.
