Irve Dell received his BA from Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts, and his MFA in sculpture from the University of Minnesota. His works, individual and collaborative, have been shown at places such as the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Thomas Barry Fine Arts, University of Minnesota Art Museum, Dayton Hudson Gallery, and Katherine Nash Gallery in Minneapolis; Rochester Art Center, Rochester, Minnesota; Navy Pier, Chicago; and Goodrich Gallery, Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Dell’s awards and honors include the Bush Artist Fellowship; Faculty Development Grant, St. Olaf College; and Walker Art Center Open Studio Day. He received the Royal Society of Arts Silver Medal (London), Williams College. Dell has served as scupture judge, Minnesota State Fair Art Exhibit; selection committee member, Percent for Arts Program, Minnesota State Arts Board; Artists’ Panel member, Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program (MAEP), Minneapolis Institute of Arts; and as visiting lecturer or artist at schools and art centers.

Dell has received or won commissions from private individuals, churches, and colleges, and been finalist for several other competitions. Articles about his work have appeared in American Craftmagazine and theMinneapolis Star Tribune.
