Tim joined the Smith Center for Global Engagement in September 2025.  As the Associate Director, Tim is responsible for oversight of faculty-led semester/year program development, budgeting and administration, contributing to the design of training and development opportunities for faculty, managing a portfolio of January term programs and advising students on programs abroad. 

Tim holds a BA in Art History and American Studies from St. Cloud State University and an MA in Student Affairs from the University of St. Thomas.  With nearly two decades of experience in International Education, Tim has held roles as onsite program staff in the UK, as well as key positions in education abroad offices at several institutions. He specializes in developing and managing education abroad programs, integrating international experiences into academic curricula, and guiding students in making meaningful connections between global experiences, intercultural development and career readiness. He is passionate about helping students articulate how high-impact international experiences contribute to the development of critical skills and competencies essential for success in today’s global workforce.
