Kathy Glampe serves as Director of the St. Olaf College Academic Success Center. With more than twenty-five years of experience leading programs that help students thrive academically, she brings deep expertise in holistic student support — including extensive work with the federally funded TRiO programs, which expand educational opportunity for low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities. She was honored to serve as Program Assistant to Dona Freeman for the Theater in London program (2017) and to Adam Berliner for the Number Theory in Budapest program (2025) — immersive off-campus experiences she counts among the most rewarding of her career. Kathy is dedicated to providing comprehensive support services that empower students to maximize their academic potential and achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.

Kathy earned her B.A. in History and Social Studies Education from St. Olaf College and her M.A. in Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology from the University of Minnesota. A first-generation college student herself, Kathy's personal experience as a St. Olaf TRiO SSS student deeply informs her commitment to equity and access. During her undergraduate years, she was a member of SARN, served as a Junior Counselor (JC) in Hoyme Hall, studied in China with Professor Bob Entenmann, and completed her student teaching at Humboldt High School in St. Paul, Minnesota.
