Hello, my name is K. Jaemi Hagen, MSW, (pronouns: I use any pronouns), I am the Director of the Wellness Center in Buntrock Commons. Originally from Duluth, MN, Jaemi recently moved back to MN after living in the Bay Area for three years and working as a medical social worker. They are a Social Worker by training and were previously licensed in Washinton, DC, and Maryland, before their move to California. Jaemi is excited to return to MN and be closer to family and relatives.

Jaemi received their bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota, and their master's degree in Social Work from Gallaudet University, in Washington, DC. Years ago, while at the University of Minnesota, Jaemi was a Resident Assistant (RA), for the Lavender House, a dorm floor/community for LGBTQIA+ students living on campus. They currently serve on the board of directors of a non-profit health clinic based in Minneapolis, MN, and have served for six years. Previously, Jaemi was an adjunct instructor at Gallaudet University, and taught two courses on LGBTQIA+ culture and community, and Disability Policy. Jaemi is bilingual and also knows American Sign Language, and Cued American English (CAE).

In their free time, Jaemi enjoys being outdoors, going for walks, hikes, and bike rides. They are learning how to play pickleball and have recently tried roller-blading again. Jaemi grew up skiing and snowboarding and looks forward to participating in winter sports again soon!
