Theresa joined the Smith Center in early 2019. She is responsible for:

  • managing St. Olaf faculty-led semesters, including the Global Semester, Religion, Politics and Society in Athens and Jerusalem, and Environmental Sciences in New Zealand and Australia programs
  • developing faculty-led semester and interim programming
  • facilitating faculty development and intercultural learning opportunities
  • managing A portfolio of select Interim programs

Theresa received her B.A. from the University of St. Thomas and her M.A. from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont and her PhD from the University of Minnesota. Theresa has worked in intercultural and international education in university and non-profit settings for over 10 years. Theresa moved to Guatemala following her undergraduate degree where she worked for a non-profit organization for nearly two years. After studying international education in Vermont, she lived on the U.S./Mexico border coordinating education programming around immigration and related topics.
