Ms. Hupton is an Assistant Director of Student Support in the Academic Success Center. She coordinates the St. Olaf Orientation to Academics and Resources (SOAR) program, including hiring and training our peer leaders. Ms. Hupton is dedicated to supporting students through their academic career on The Hill and helping them realize their full academic potential.
Ms. Hupton earned her B.A. from Gustavus Adophus College and her M.Ed. from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. Before coming to St. Olaf, she spent 18 years as a classroom teacher mostly teaching middle school Social Studies and Math.
Tara currently resides in Northfield with her husband, a high school English teacher and tennis coach, and two kids. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, playing games, being up north, and cheering for her kids in music and sports.
