In my role as the Assistant Director of the Community in Character Project, I am excited to centralize
our campus efforts to provide critical chracter and leadership developmment opportunities for our Oles.
Coming to St. Olaf in December 2022 was an exciting move in my Higher Ed career. I have spent
over 20 years on college campuses from Georgia to Colorado to Ohio before coming to the Hill
(and coming back home as I grew up 45 minutes from Northfield). My professional path has
included 15 years of Division III intercollegiate coaching, 4 years as a Division III athletic
administrator, 12 years of classroom instruction in both fine arts and sports management,
and 3 years of Orientation, Transition and Retention work. Some find that a bizarre combination,
however, to me it’s just a reflection of a young woman who is a product of a small Liberal Arts education.
I earned my BS in Studio Art from Wittenberg University and my MFA in Painting from Savanah
College of Art and Design.
It’s no secret that I have a passion for the arts and enjoy a wide variety of sports but I also love
cooking for others, spending time outdoors (hiking, biking, camping) and soaking up every
minute of life with my wife and our adventurous twin daughters!
