Coming to St. Olaf in December 2022 was an exciting move in my Higher Ed career. I have spent
over 20 years on college campuses from Georgia to Colorado to Ohio before coming to the Hill
(and coming back home as I grew up 45 minutes from Northfield). My professional path has
included 15 years of Division III intercollegiate coaching, 4 years as a Division III athletic
administrator and 12 years of classroom instruction in both fine arts and sports management.
Some find that a WEIRD combination, however, to me it’s just a reflection of a young woman
who is a product of a small Liberal Arts education. I earned my BS in Studio Art from Wittenberg
University and my MFA in Painting from Savanah College of Art and Design.

With my wide variety of roles over the years I have found orientation and transition
experiences critical to the success of today’s college student. My goal is to assist every Ole in
finding their niche on our campus and thrive as a member of our community. While your first
week on campus is an important time to make immediate contacts and learn the nuts-and-bolts
of our campus, the connection events and programming beyond that initial orientation are just
as critical to aid in your persistence to graduation day. I am here for all of it and can’t wait to
see you grow and seize the opportunities on campus, and beyond! To see my favorite links from
our St. Olaf website, check out our New Student Orientation Resource and our Sophomore
Experience Page.

It’s no secret that I have a passion for the arts and enjoy a wide variety of sports but I also love
cooking for others, spending time outdoors (hiking, biking, camping) and soaking up every
minute of life with my wife and our adventurous twin daughters!
