Vincent joined St. Olaf College in 2026 after completing his PhD in Germanic Studies at the University of Minnesota. He has taught courses in German language and literature, media studies, and sound studies at the University of Minnesota and the Ruhr University Bochum. His research interests include obsolete media, sound recording technologies, East German and Soviet culture, and social theory. His current research projects focus on the role of analog media in found footage horror as well as literary representations of acousmatic sound.
