It is an honor to be a pastor to the St. Olaf College Student Congregation and a chaplain to all students, faculty and staff. The worship life at St. Olaf is vibrant and I enjoy having conversations with students about every matter of college life. I love music (mostly the goth end of post-punk) and am engaged in a number of writing projects. I contributed commentaries on The Gospel of Matthew and Hebrews in The T&T Clark Social Identity Commentary on the New Testament (2020, T&T Clark/Bloomsbury). Katherine Fick and I published Unscheduled Grace: 40 Devotions and Prayers for College Students (2023, Sparkhouse). Most recently, I wrote Hebrews: A Social Identity Commentary (2025, T&T Clark/Bloomsbury). I live in Northfield with my wife, our two daughters, and a dog.
