Dr. Reginald Miles is originally from Massachusetts and earned his Bachelor Degree in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. During his undergraduate experience, he was highly involved with his campus community, serving as a Resident Assistant, Tour Guide, and Student Admissions Representative. Also, he interned at Walt Disney World as part of the entertainment department.

Dr. Miles has been in higher education for over 15 years. He has served in multiple positions within academic/student services and college admissions at Emerson College and Arizona State University.  Most recently, served as the Associate Director of National Recruitment at the University of Arizona. Dr. Miles earned his Master of Higher and Postsecondary Education from Arizona State University and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. His dissertation research is Employee and Manager Engagement in the Admissions Office.

Dr. Miles has presented at national conferences, created, and instructed undergraduate and graduate courses, while serving as a strong advocate for his students. He is excited to engage with prospective St. Olaf students and assist them in their journeys. In his role as Associate Dean of Admission and Director of Multicultural Recruitment, he is excited to work with senior leadership and the campus community on strategies to enhance multicultural recruitment.

Favorite Spot on the Hill:

Holland Hall - It is one of the oldest academic buildings on campus and it is absolutely stunning!  This well-known historical hub for Ole academics makes it my favorite spot on campus as you will find our future leaders working hard in their academics.
