I am a macro and financial economist. My research, broadly, is about how expectations affect macroeconomic and financial behavior, and how people form expectations about the economy. This includes the effects of monetary policy on U.S. Treasury markets, and how partisanship and individual identity informs beliefs about inflation and policy.
At St. Olaf, I teach Principles of Economics, Econometrics and Time Series (so far!)
Outside of the classroom, my main activity is Being Dad, but once upon a time I also enjoyed playing various instruments (badly) and video games (also badly).
Links to my papers and CV are available on my research web site.
