Nancy Veverka is the Director of Field Experiences and Licensure and teaches the Urban Education Practicum and Seminar. Nancy works with pre-service teachers when they enter the Education program toward licensure, and continues with them as they progress through the program through their final student teaching experience.  

Nancy earned her both her B.A. in French Literature and M.Ed. in Second Languages and Cultures Education from the University of Minnesota.  She is licensed to teach French, Spanish, and ESL, in addition to being a licensed K-12 principal. 

Nancy has taught and been an administrator over the last 30 years in K-12 education – elementary, middle and high school levels – with most of those experiences taking place in Saint Paul Public Schools. Most recently, Nancy worked as an administrator in Northfield Public Schools, and she  also taught college-level English (as a foreign language) in Mexico at the Instituto Tecnológico de la Sierra Norte in Zacatlán, Puebla.
