Tim is Bassoon II/Contrabassoon with the Rochester Symphony Orchestra & Chorale with Jere Lantz, Music Director. His freelance career spans such ensembles as Northern Lights Music Festival, Choral Arts Ensemble (appearing on their This Shining Night CD), The Metropolitan Symphony (2003 Concerto Competition winner), Dolce Quintet, South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra, St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, Fargo-Moorhead Symphony, Mississippi Valley Orchestra, St. Paul Civic, Flagstaff (AZ) Symphony Orchestra, and the St. Andrew Orchestra (Mahtomedi, MN). He also enjoys doubling on flute, clarinet, bass clarinet and baritone sax for Artistry with Anita Ruth, Music Director.

Tim taught Applied Bassoon and Music Theory at St. Cloud State University from 1997-2003. Currently, he is the Instrumental Music Coordinator at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, where he oversees the instrument inventory and maintenance. Instructors include Charles Ullery, Dr. Steven Konechne, Dr. Timothy Perry, Dr. Patricia Hoy, and Norbert Nielubowski (bassoon/contrabassoon), Gus Sandberg (saxophone), and Dana Donnay (instrument repair). He completed his BA in Instrumental Music at Bemidji State University in 1986.
