I received my undergraduate degree from St Olaf in 2007. While on the hill I studied biology and studio art (ceramics). Post graduation I began a career in the natural supplements industry traveling and teaching about natural and alternative ways to approach health and wellness. Towards the end of my career in natural supplements, I began my journey towards being a clinical mental health counselor. I graduated from Adler Graduate School in 2021 after interning at the St. Olaf Counseling Center. I've spent the years since then working in a local private practice working with a wide range of clients.
My approach to therapy is one of collaboration, where the client is the expert and my role is to support them towards mental health wellness. I take a holistic view of the client and tend to be solutions focused and strengths based in my approach. The client is the driver and I will work to find the right treatment approach to best fit your needs. I enjoy working with topics like: life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, gender, sexuality and neurodivergent thinking. I have a special interest in supporting and advocating for LGBTQA+ communities.
