Adam is originally from River Forest, IL, a suburb close to Chicago. After high school, he went to St. Olaf College. In 2016, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Physics. He attended graduate school at the University of Iowa, where he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics in 2020. His research interests are in representation theory and, in particular, representations of finite groups over fields of positive characteristic. When Adam is not helping students or doing math, he enjoys running, traveling and spending time in nature, listening to organ music by J.S. Bach, and cooking. If you can't find Adam at his desk working on math or in the classroom, then you can probably find him on a gravel road in the middle of a long run.
