Howdy!

My name is Lukas Wymer and I am excited to serve as an Assistant Director of Student Activities at St. Olaf College!

My St. Olaf journey started in June 2023. After my partner accepted a job at another college in town, the stars aligned to bring me this wonderful opportunity at St. Olaf College. What attracted me to St. Olaf was the strong focus on the student experience and community, the programming space (be sure to check out The Pause!), and all the wonderful people that make St. Olaf special. Plus, the campus is beautiful!

I am a Wisconsin native who has lived and worked in many places throughout the United States including Wisconsin, Maryland, Iowa, and Washington D.C. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin- Platteville with dual degrees in History and Secondary Education (plus a few minors thrown in there), I truly found my calling working within Higher Education after serving on my college’s programming board. This led me to pursue my M.S.Ed. in Student Affairs Administration from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse while continuing to work for the National 4-H Conference Center and the University of Wisconsin- Platteville. Outside of work I love to stay active by running, traveling to new countries and National Parks, taking trips on my motorcycle, reading, and working on my horror novel.

I love to meet new people so please do not hesitate to stop by the Office of Student Activities (OSA) in Buntrock Commons or set up a time to chat here. Did I mention that we serve free popcorn in our office!?

See you soon!
