Our fall conference will be held this year at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. Conference events will be held in the Drew Fine Arts Center and Ann Simley Theatre

Please join us Friday evening, Saturday morning and afternoon for a weekend of theater sessions and activities at Hamline University.

DrewEvents:
• "Cover the Walls"- Students, faculty, staff, and theatre professionals- SHOW US YOUR DESIGN WORK! This is an open invitation for designers to exhibit their work and share with fellow artists their ideas and approaches to design. Student display work will be entered into a juried competition with scholarship awards for free registration to the USITT National Conference in March 2012. (See Guidelines for Exhibiting). Setup begins at 6pm on Friday.
• "Technical Solutions Exhibit" New to NBS this year, the Technical Solutions Exhibit is much like the USITT national Theatre Technology Exhibit (Tech Expo).  Student display work will be entered into a juried competition with scholarship awards for free registration to the USITT National Conference in March 2012. (See Guidelines for Technical Solutions Exhibit for complete information). Setup begins at 6pm on Friday.
• Dino's Greek Dinner Friday evening beginning at 7pm
• Opening Session following dinner- Friday Evening- NorthernBoundary Membership meeting (8pm). Presentation of the 2011Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space AND Sustainability in our Theatres.
• After the membership meeting (9:30pm), let loose at Midway Bowl, near the Hamline campus.
• Workshop Sessions: Saturday Morning and afternoon at Hamline University Theatre Building. Select from sessions on Airbrush makeup, Draping, Blending scenic and lighting Technologies, Portfolio Share and Tell, Children’s Theatre Backstage Tour, Dental Prosthetics, Intro to IATSE, and a field trip to Ruehling Associates “showcasing the convergence of lighting, video and scenic design”.
• Final Wrap-up session 4:00 pm on Saturday. Design Awards will be announced.

Registration:
Friday Night beginning at 6pm, & Saturday morning 8am to 9am with Coffee, juice & munchies provided to get us all going! Wrap-up session Saturday afternoon to be done by 4:45pm

Registration Fees:
• Individual Member  of USITT NBS     $20     
(Non-members- add $15 for membership)

• Student Member      $5
(Non-Member students- add $5 for membership)
Students participating in the Design Exhibit will have the registration fee waived, but still must be a student member.

• Organizational Member designated individual      $20
• Sustaining Member designated individual      No Fee
• Contributing Member two designated individuals      No Fee
