The Gustavus Adolphus College men's basketball team went 11-for-19 from three in a 66-59 win over St. Olaf at Skoglund Athletic Center Wednesday night.

St. Olaf nearly erased a ten-point Gustie lead with a 9-0 run midway through the second half, cutting the advantage to 44-43. Gustavus then went on a 11-2 run to regain control. The Oles would get within three at 55-52, but not closer the rest of the way.

Gustavus led 33-29 at halftime after going five-of-seven from the arc. St. Olaf was just two-of-eight from three in the game.

Mike Ludwig (Sr., Blaine, Minn.) and Justin Bonestroo (Sr., Stillwater, Minn.) had 13 points each for the Oles. Matt Schlenker (Jr., Rochester, Minn./Mayo) had 12 points.

St. Olaf outrebounded Gustavus 29-26 and made 13-of-20 free throws. The Gusties made five of eight attempts at the line.

The Oles travel to Carleton on Saturday at 3 p.m. With a win, St. Olaf can regain the Goat Trophy, which has been with the Knights for the last nine seasons. The game can be heard on 920 AM, KDHL.
