Annual worship conference to emphasize finding God in daily life

Carole
July 14, 2003

Theologians have said that in the commonplace experience of our lives, God is made known to us. "Blessed is the Ordinary" is the theme of this year's week-long conference on worship, theology and the arts held every year at St. Olaf. Luther Seminary Professor Diane Jacobson and composer and author of Somebody's Got My Robe John Yarrington will top the extraordinary list of musicians, artists, scholars and theologians who will use the ordinary moments and routines in our daily world to enrich and vitalize worship services for the "Ordinary Time" of the church year. Dedicated to the enhancement of theological understanding and pastoral skills in worship, church music and the arts, the conference runs July 14 through 18 and is open to the public with activities and choirs for people of all ages. Pre-registration requested. For more information, call (507) 646-3031 or click here.
