'Sing for Joy' to sponsor hymn festival in downtown Minneapolis

Amy Gage
August 24, 2003

Every week, thousands of public radio listeners across the country tune in to "Sing for Joy" -- produced on the St. Olaf campus by Classical 89.3 WCAL -- to hear scripturally based music and related commentary. "Sing for Joy" host and St. Olaf Pastor Bruce Benson, along with organist and music director John Ferguson, will allow listeners to participate in a hymn fest Sunday, Aug. 24, that celebrates the program's true essence. The event, free and open to the public, will take place at 7:30 p.m. at St. Olaf Catholic Church in downtown Minneapolis. For more information about the program, click on the "Sing for Joy" web site.
