Staruch, Hansen and Wee to perform in upcoming Minneapolis recital

Classical 89.3 Top of the Day and Evening Song host Steve Staruch features prominently in the recital "Viva Viola," music for viola, clarinet and piano. Staruch, a violist who studied at Oberlin and the Eastman School of Music, will perform Mozart?s Kegelstatt-Trio (Trio in Eb for Piano, Clarinet and Viola) and Max Bruch?s Nachtgesang (from Acht Stücke) with Karen Hansen, clarinet, and Theo Wee, piano. Hansen is a freelance clarinetist and executive director of the Center for Lifelong Learning at St. Olaf. Theo Wee is professor of music, organ and piano at St. Olaf. The recital, free and open to the public, is today at 3 p.m. at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 4801 France Avenue South in Edina.
