Wendell Arneson, professor of art at St. Olaf College, will have a solo show "Charting Time and Place" featuring 20-plus new oil paintings (or "what I did on my summer vacation") at the Groveland Gallery in Minneapolis (25 Groveland Terrace). This exhibit is one of three Twin Cities-area shows for Arneson this month.

Arneson also is joining Mac Gimse, professor of art emeritus, as they exhibit the Nobel Peace Prize Forum artwork at the Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church in Minneapolis (Groveland and Hennepin avenues). This exhibit runs through Oct. 19. Arneson also will be part of a two-man art show with Robert Anderson, a photographer from Northfield, at the Northfield Arts Guild. The opening is Friday, Oct. 1, and the show runs through early November.
