By Amy Gage
October 27, 2004

Film star Leonardo DiCaprio ("Titanic," the upcoming "The Aviator," about Howard Hughes) will appear at St. Olaf College tonight (Wed., Oct. 27) at 7:30 p.m. on behalf of John Kerry. The event is sponsored by the St. Olaf College Democrats.

DiCaprio is scheduled to speak in the Black & Gold Ballroom, which is on the third floor (northeast corner) of Buntrock Commons. Parking is available in a lot north of the building. (In the event of a large crowd, the speech may be moved to a larger space on campus.) The event is free and open to the public.

The movie star has been speaking at campuses across the country on the topic "Voting for the Environment."
