Oles Fall to College of St. Benedict

The St. Olaf women?s basketball team dropped an 80-46 contest in Wednesday?s MIAC action. With four games remaining, the Oles (7-10, 9-11) are still in the play-off picture and are currently tied with Augsburg in the seventh position.

The Oles were done in by three-point shooting in the first half. The Blazers were 70% from beyond the arc, going 9-13 and also shot 52% from the field. In the second half the Oles allowed only 29 points, but struggled offensively throughout the game, shooting a dismal 24% from the field.

Sara Erickson (So., Cambridge, Minn.) led the Oles with nine points, followed by Amanda Renneke (Jr., Northfield, Minn.) with seven. Lori Enlund (FY, Bloomington, Ill) was the leader on the glass with eight boards, while Elisa Hatlevig (Sr., Rushford, Minn) and Lisa Eidenschink (So., Detroit Lakes, Minn.) each tallied 6.

The Oles will travel to the University of St. Thomas on Saturday, Feb. 10 for a 3:00 p.m. game and return for the final home game of the season on Monday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. against Augsburg College.
