Wrestlers Third in MIAC

The St. Olaf wrestlers took third at the MIAC championships, held Saturday at St. John's University in Collegeville. The Oles were led by Alex Morf (So., Mt. Vernon, Iowa) who took second place and will represent the Oles at the national tournament March 3-4 in Waterloo, Iowa.
Senior captains Shaun Murphy (Northfield, Minn.), John Holm (Northfield, Minn.), and Andy Brown (Plymouth, Minn.) all ended their careers by finishing third and taking all-conference honors at 165, 174, and 184 respectively. Will Palmieri (So., Neosho, Mo.) also finished in third place. Matt Pichietti (Sr., Chicago, Ill.) placed fourth at heavyweight and Holm was named first alternate for Nationals.
