'Performance Today' to feature Festival selections

Two broadcasts of the national radio program Performance Today will feature selections from this year's St. Olaf Christmas Festival Thursday, Dec. 10, and Friday, Dec. 25.

The Dec. 10 program will include the St. Olaf Choir, conducted by Anton Armstrong '78, performing All This Night by Gerald Finzi, and the massed choir, conducted by John Ferguson and including Manitou Singers, Viking Chorus, Chapel Choir, Cantorei, and the St. Olaf Choir, singing E'en So, Lord Jesus by Paul Manz. 

The Dec. 25 Performance Today program will include the St. Olaf Choir singing Jesus Christ the Apple Tree, composed by choir member Stanford Scriven '11, that premiered at this year's festival. The program also will include an interview with Scriven.

American Public Media's Performance Today is broadcast on 237 public radio stations (many of which stream their broadcasts online) to about 1.2 million people each week.
