Backstage pass to Russia
FEBRUARY 28, 2007 — Fourteen St. Olaf students spent January's Interim taking a close look at Russian Theater by attending some 20 productions throughout the country. "Every performance save one that we went to was completely sold out or standing room only," says St. Olaf Professor of Russian Marc Robinson. "This popularity with the contemporary audience demonstrates that they are doing something to connect with their audience."

Opening ceremony to celebrate peace exhibit
FEBRUARY 9, 2007 — Throughout February, St. Olaf College will host "Building a Culture of Peace for the Children of the World." The multimedia exhibit will be open to the public in the Tostrud Recreation Center and Skoglund Athletic Center lobbies beginning Feb. 5. The exhibit, first shown at the United Nations World Headquarters and on display in venues throughout the world, is created and sponsored by Soka Gakkai International.
