Wind Chime Memorial to be dedicated Homecoming weekend
September 28, 2003
During Homecoming and Family Weekend, on Sunday, Sept. 28, St. Olaf will dedicate a newly constructed wind chime memorial tower commemorating young people whose lives were cut short while they were students at the college. The tower is made from forest salvage, trees that lived their lives and died naturally in place ? an appropriate element for a student memorial. The memorial will house more than 100 individually tuned wind chimes, each bearing the name of a student who died during his or her time at St. Olaf.
