Acclaimed French horn artist returns to St. Olaf for alumni recital and masterclass

Acclaimed French horn Virtuoso Sharon Moe, a 1964 graduate of St. Olaf College, will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, in Urness Recital Hall on campus. Accompanying Moe will be acclaimed pianist Xiayin Wang. A two-hour French horn masterclass will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, in Urness. Both events are free and open to the public.
The recital will include a Beethoven sonata, Elegy for Mippy 1 by Leonard Bernstein, The Harmonica Player by David Guion, The Lord?s Prayer by Albert Hay Malotte, City Nights by Keith Textor, Rachmaninoff?s Vocalise and Morceau de Concert by Camille Saint Saëns.
