St. Olaf wins first annual "Cereal Bowl"

St. Olaf football team amassed 491 yards of total offense in their 40-16 victory over Carleton Saturday afternoon. The Oles jumped to a 20-0 first quarter lead on the heels of two Brian Senske (Sr., Apple Valley, Minn.) touchdown passes. Senske finished 20-of-29 for 187 yards.
The Ole defense held the Knights to 347 total yards, with only 117 coming through the air. Matt Willis (Sr., Des Moines, Iowa) had ten tackles (six solo) in the win.
Bobby Andrade (FY, Bell Gardens, Calif.) led the Ole offense with 200 all-purpose yards. He led the rushing attack with 116 yards on 25 carries, caught two passes for 25 yards with one touchdown. Andrade returned two kicks for 59 yards. Also helping the Ole offense was Aaron Stinar (Sr., Blaine, Minn.) who had 13 carries for 55 yards and three touchdowns. Ole Marc Olson (FY, Prior Lake, Minn.) rushed eight times for 45 yards.
Nate Lund (Sr., Mankato, Minn.) led the Oles with 78 yards of total offense, carrying for 10 yards and catching a team-high six passes for 68 yards and one touchdown. Also scoring for the Oles was Dennis Wambach (Sr., Lake Oswego, Ore.), who caught a 4 yard pass from Senske with 1:28 left in the first quarter.
The victory was the seventh straight win for St. Olaf over Carleton. St. Olaf now leads the all-time series 41-39-1.
Next week, St. Olaf travels to Augsburg College for a 1:00 p.m contest. The game can be heard on 920 AM, KDHL.
