Ole women golfers have good showing at Luther

The St. Olaf women's golf team traveled to Decorah, Iowa this weekend to compete in the Luther Invitational at Oneota Golf Course. Out of the four MIAC schools present, the Oles placed second. The team finished the one day 18 hole event with a with a 373, to place tenth out of 14 teams. Leading the team scoring for the Oles was Naomi Schwegler (Sr., Albany, Minn.), and Stacia Polzin (Jr., Bloomington, Minn.). Other scorers were Abby Sprenger (Sr., Rancho Mirage, Calif.) and Britt Bunke (So., Rushford, Minn.).
This Wednesday the Oles host Carleton College in a nine hole Ryder Cup match play format. The Oles return to action Sunday when they host the College City Classic, two-day 36-hole event at Willinger's Golf Club in Northfield. Play begins at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
