The Men's Golf team competed at the Carleton Fall Invitational this weekend at the Northfield Golf Club. The team finished the 36 hole event with a score of 648, to finish fourth out of ten teams. The Oles shot a 325 on the first day of play, and despite the difficult pin positions the second day, improved their score by two shots for a 323.

Leading the way for the Oles with his impressive play for a second straight week was Brian DeLaitsch (FY, Owatonna, Minn.) who fired a 77 the first day, followed by a two over par 74 the second day. DeLaitsch's 7 over par total of 151 earned him a third place finish out of over 50 golfers in the field. Pat Gilles (Jr, Waunakee, Wis.) also played well finishing with a 157 for an eight place finish overall. Other Ole scorers included Brandt Uthus (Sr, Minot, N.D.) with a 166 and Bryan Hapka (Jr, Mukwonago, Wis.) with a 174.

The Oles will compete next weekend in the Twin Cities Classic on September 27-29th at Elk River Country Club, The Links at Northfork, and Wayzata Country Club.
