The St. Olaf Baseball team swept Bethel College 4-1 and 3-1 Tuesday afternoon at Mark Almli Field. Complete game, one-run pitching performances from Charlie Ruud (Jr., Cannon Falls, Minn.) and Matt Green (So., Minneapolis, Minn./South) sparked the sweep.

The Oles have won ten of their last 11.

Ruud scattered 11 hits and was aided by three double plays in the first four innings. Green allowed just seven hits, and got two double plays from the Ole infield.

Mike Ludwig (Jr., Blaine, Minn.) and Joe Pavelko (Jr., Richfield, Minn.) each went 2-for-3 with a homerun in the game one win.

The Oles kept pace in the MIAC race. St. Olaf is two games back of Concordia and St. Thomas. The Cobbers and Toms each swept their series this afternoon.

The Oles travel to Winona, Minn. to play a makeup doubleheader with Saint Mary's at 2:30. The Cardinals played St. Thomas to two one-run games today, including a nine inning 1-0 dual in game one.
