Men's tennis falls in MIAC tournament

The St. Olaf men's tennis team fell to St. Thomas 9-0, Friday afternoon in the Conference quarterfinals. St. Olaf was playing without their top two players, juniors Tom and Ted Nagel.

St. Thomas began the match by sweeping doubles competition, 3-0. In singles action, despite a number of close matches, the Oles dropped six straight. With the loss, St. Olaf falls to 4-8 overall.

Players in the match were Matt Sobieski (Senior, Mahtomedi, Minn.), Dan Cohen (Jr., St. Paul, Minn.), Mike Matsuura (FY, St. Cloud, Minn.), Matt Clark (FY, Northfield, Minn.), Mike Donohue (Sr., Spirit Lake, Iowa), and Tom Wampler (Soph., Green Bay, Wisc.), Ross Bidlingmaier (Soph., Madison, Wisc).

St. Olaf returns to action on, Sat, April 26th, against Saint Mary?s at 9:00 a.m. at Carleton.
