Matt Schlenker (Jr., Rochester, Minn./Mayo) had his fifth career double-double, coralling 15 points and 13 rebounds, as St. Olaf (7-2, 3-1) downed Crown College 81-66 Friday night at Skoglund Athletic Center in a non-conference tilt.

Ole forward Mike Ludwig (Sr., Blaine, Minn.) added 17 of his team-high 24 points in the first half. Tim Nelson (Sr., Braham, Minn.) was also in double figures with 17 points in the win.

Jordan Fleck kept Crown close with a game-high 30 points in a losing effort. Fleck was 8-of-14 from three.

St. Olaf trailed much of the first half before taking the lead with seven minutes to play on a pair of Ludwig free throws. The Oles, who led by as many as 26 in the second half, were up five at the break.

St. Olaf has won all four games at home this season, and six in a row overall. They also finished their non-conference schedule 4-1. The Oles are 8-2 the last two seasons against teams outside the MIAC.

St. Olaf will face Saint John's University on Jan. 6 at Skoglund Athletic Center.
