St. Olaf hosting Alan Merrick's Soccer Academies in June

Residential soccer-skills camps will be held at St. Olaf College for boys and girls ages 10 to 18 twice this summer: June 9 to 14 and June 16 to 21. The camps will cover footwork, field drills and tactical aspects of soccer, as well as games and tournaments. Coaching and Camp Director Alan Merrick was head coach of the Minnesota Strikers for four years and twice was named Soccer Digest's Coach of the Year. A former pro player himself, Merrick has been part of hundreds of clinics and coaching sessions over the past 20 years. The cost for each six-day camp, including room and board, is $500.
