Early music singers, musicians to perform Friday

The St. Olaf Collegium Musicum and Early Music Singers will perform their spring concert, "Music From Germany, 1100-1700," at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19 in Urness Recital Hall. The program includes music by Hildegard of Bingen, Senfl and Schutz. The Collegium Musicum performs on instruments of the period: medieval vielle, Renaissance viols, recorders, sackbuts, crumhorns and cornetts. The Early Music Singers is an ensemble of 14 select voices that performs music of the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque eras. Both groups are directed by Gerald Hoekstra. The concert is free and open to the public.
