Oles end losing streak

The St. Olaf softball team, ended an 7 game losing streak on Saturday,when they split with the College of St. Benedicts. The St. Ben's Blazers beat the Oles 11-0 in the first game, then the Oles came back and won the second, 4-1.

The Blazers were up 4-0 going into the the sixth inning. It was then that they ended the first game early, scoring 7 runs on a 5 hits hits and 3 Ole errors. The Oles couldn't battle back and they were beaten 11-0.

St. Olaf jumped ahead right away in the second game. They scored first and never gave St. Ben's the lead. St. Ben's scored their only run in the top of the 7th but the Oles defense stayed tough. St. Olaf came away with their third conference win, moving them to 3-7 in the MIAC and 8-12 overall.

The next St. Olaf match-up is Tuesday, April 23rd when they take on St.Catherines in St. Paul at 4:00.
