The St. Olaf College fastpitch team traveled to St. Paul to take on the College of St. Catherine's on April 23rd. The Oles won the first game 4-3 and lost the second 6-1.

In the first game, the Oles were down 3-0 for most of the game, but managed to come back for the win. The Oles scored two runs in the fifth inning to find themselves only down by one. A seventh inning rally began with a triple by Carrie Cooley (Sr., Villard, Minn.). Meredith Larson (Jr., Mason City, IA) then hit the RBI single to score Cooley. Rachel Colson (Jr., Oak Park, Calif.) followed with a RBI single to score Larson and lifted the Oles to their fourth conference win.

In the second game, the Oles were not as effective. The Wildcats took the lead from the start, and the Oles never came back. They ended the game with an 6-1 loss.

The Oles are now 9-15 overall and 4-8 in the conference. The Oles next conference match-up is Wednesday, April 24th at Mabel Shirley field where they will take on Concordia College at 4:00 PM.
