St. Olaf among first colleges in the U.S. to halt trips to Israel

In the wake of increased violence in the Middle East, Hamline University in St. Paul and the University of California decided in April to halt student programs in Israel. St. Olaf College, which sends about 650 of its 3,000 students abroad to study each year, made that decision two years ago.
