Ole women fail to win a match against UW-Lacrosse

The St. Olaf Women?s Tennis Team faced a strong UW-La Crosse squad on Saturday, February 23, in La Crosse, Wis. The Oles lost 9-0, but had many competitive matches. There were three matches that were particularly close. Number one doubles Janelle Sagness (Jr., Mankato, Minn.) and Beth Erie (FY., Rochester, Minn.) lost 9-7 in pro-set play. Number three doubles of Lindsay Gorham (Sr., Wenatchee, Wash.) and Jennifer Ison (Jr., Urbana, Ill.) lost 9-7 as well. Number five singles Yvonne Yang (Jr., Appleton, Wis.) lost 4-6, 6-4, 4-6. The Oles are now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in MIAC play.

St. Olaf plays conference rival, College of St. Catherine, on Friday, March 1, at 6:00 PM at Owatonna, Minn.
