This past week has been jam-packed with wrestling action. On Wednesday, January 9, the Oles traveled across the state border to River Falls, Wisconsin to meet in a triangular competition with both the University of Wisconsin-OshKosh and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

In the first dual with OshKosh, the Oles who are still plagued with team injuries, managed to field four wrestlers able to score points. Alex Morf (Jr., Mt.Vernon, Iowa) having just returned from a semester abroad dominated his match 11-5. Anthony Rogers (FY., St.Paul, Minn.), pulled out a confusing overtime win over his competition 10-8. Jay DeCoux (FY., Fairbault, Minn.), managed to squeeze a 3-2 victory from his match and Shad Bauer (Sr. Kenyon, Minn.) received a forfeit at 174 pound weight class.

When the Oles wrestled UW-River Falls, a team also struggling to fill their weightclasses, they squeezed a 30-25 team victory out of the meet.

The following Saturday, January 12, the Oles took the long trip to Eau Claire to wrestle the BluGolds of UW-Eau Claire. Winning for St. Olaf were Pat Koch (FY., Bloomington, Minn.) with a forfeit at 133 pounds and Alex Morf at 149 pounds.

The next action for the Oles is this Friday and Saturday, January 18-19, at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
