Drew Brodin (Jr., Vadinais Heights, Minn./Mounds View) had 15 points and Eric Robertson (Sr., Anoka, Minn.) 14 as the Royals beat St. Olaf 67-52.

The Royals were 7-of-13 from the arc in the first half, earning a 13-point advantage at the break, 40-27.

St. Olaf stormed back to cut the lead to five with 5:30 to play in the game on a pair of Matt Hofkens (Sr., Neenah, Wis.) free-throws. However, the Royals proceeded to go on a 9-0 run to seal the win and secure a series sweep of the Oles.

St. Olaf's Mike Ludwig (Jr., Blaine, Minn.) led all scorers with 18 points. Ludwig was just six-of-19 from the field, missing his last seven shots. Justin Bonestroo (Jr., Stillwater, Minn.) added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Oles, who have now lost nine of their last ten.

With the win, Bethel improves 9-4 in MIAC play, which is good for fourth place. The Royals are a half game behind the Oles? next opponent, Macalester. The Scots handily defeated Augsburg Monday on the heels of Pat Russell's 34-point effort.

The St. Olaf - Macalester game takes place at 7:30 PM Wednesday, January 30, at Macalester in St. Paul.
